Why Hire A Home Inspector
If you are like most people, buying or selling a home is one of the largest financial commitments you will ever make. A thorough home inspection will provide you with a wealth of information about the condition of your prospective new home. It may reveal the need for substantial repairs or conditions that will eventually necessitate high cost repairs or maintenance. Knowing this early in the home purchasing process will allow you to make an informed decision regarding whether you should proceed to closing or continue looking for the house which is right for you.
Home inspectors practicing in Arkansas are required to meet minimum standards of practice and to comply with a code of ethics. Check on the Inspectors registration at Arkansas Home Inspector Registration Board web site at http://www.ahib.org/lawsrulesstandards.htm .
We suggest you obtain a list of registered inspectors who work in the area where your prospective home is located. Then, telephone a number of the inspectors. Ask each one the same questions and note their answers. When completed with that process, select the inspector with whom you are most comfortable. Be present at least the last hour of the inspection if possible. By doing so, you can see the shortcomings the inspector has identified rather than just reading about them.

Our Standard Inspection
Our standard home inspection report summarizes findings from a visual inspection of the condition of the subject home’s interior, exterior, kitchen, bath, porches, decks, attached garage / carport, retaining walls, heating system, central air conditioning system, (temperature permitting), interior plumbing and electrical systems; roof, attic, and visible insulation; walls, ceilings, floors, windows and doors; foundation, basement, and the visible structures of the home. All homes, including newly constructed homes, will have small flaws that have no effect on the integrity or value of a home. These are cosmetic. What we look for are the major problems which will cause you headaches and expenses later. Your report will be available no later than the day after the inspection. Our inspection report is state of the art. You may receive a print out or email copy to view and print. We include photos of any problems, as well as courtesy pictures for you to share with friends and family.
We do not release information about the results of our inspection to anyone but you unless you have given us written authority to do so. However, when deemed necessary by the inspector, he or she may release appropriate information, or otherwise appropriately act, to prevent imminent danger to the public or the property occupant.
